Lovers Retreat Farm & Dairy

Lovers Retreat Farm and licensed Grade A Dairy are located on the Middle Peninsula of eastern Virginia making fine farmstead goat and cow cheese in small batches. This ensures a quality artisanal cheese with exceptional flavor from milk supplied daily from our own goat and cow herd which otherwise roams freely grazing on pasture. No antibiotics or growth hormones are used. We produce classic chevre, feta, camembert, Queso Fresco and delicious specialty cheeses. Lovers Retreat Farm also specializes in raising pure bred and percentage dairy goats. Our herd is currently comprised of Saneens, Nubians, LaManchas and Alpines. As members of the American Dairy Goat Association, we strive to produce top quality animals which are for sale throughout the year. Better not forget to mention our Jersey cows. Lovers Retreat Farm also produces brown eggs from numerous free-range Black SexLink, Barred Plymouth Rock and Rhode Island Red hens. We also sell duck and goose eggs from our flock of Mallard ducks and Embden geese. We market all of our products directly from the farm. In addition, we work with several local retailers and CSAs which carry our products. We also attend several farmers markets in the Middle Peninsula/Northern Neck area of Virginia.
