Puddle Haven

We have a flock of 7 runner ducks that roam our yard and spend most of their time in our two ponds. They forage all day long and we provide them with antibiotic-free pellet feed to supplement the bugs and algae they eat. We also have a flock of 11 chickens that live in a spacious chicken coop with an outdoor run. When we are home and able to keep an eye out for predators, we let them out to forage in the yard. Interestingly, the ducks and chickens completely ignore each other! Our chicken breeds include red star, buff orpington, americauna, silkie, and a turken. Our duck eggs are large and either white or pale green. Our chicken eggs are large and brown, medium and light brown, medium and green, or small and white. We live on Dole Valley Rd near Yacolt, WA. We work in Portland and will happily make deliveries anywhere between these two cities.
