Red Shirt Farm's CSA works differently than a typical box program. You buy a share before the season starts — that upfront money covers early costs like seed, compost, and labor, the same way any CSA supports a farm before the harvest comes in. Your share loads onto a house account at Red Shirt Farm Market, good only toward the produce we grow ourselves — not meat, dairy, bread, or other grocery items, which are still full price.
There's no fixed box. You shop whenever you want during store hours, choose whatever produce you actually want that visit, and your balance covers it at checkout. Shares run $400 to $1,000 across four tiers, and members get a 10% bonus for committing early — pay $360 for a $400 house account, $540 for $600, $720 for $800, or $900 for $1,000. Sign up by November 30 and your account is active by January 1 for winter greens and storage crops; sign up later and it activates in mid-May with the main harvest. Only 100 shares are available each year, first come, first served, and any unused balance expires December 31.

Every Thursday, 4–7pm, Chef Austin Oliver of There Will Be Dough bakes pizza in our kitchen at Red Shirt Farm Market on Route 7 in Lanesborough.
His dough ferments for days and has five ingredients: flour, water, salt, yeast, and time. The menu has seven pizzas: Margherita, Pepperoni, Tomato Pie, French Onion, A Good Egg, Shroomy Pie with basil pesto and roasted mushrooms, and Sausage + Pepper with pickled sweet peppers from our farm. Pizzas are $14 to $16.50. Garlic knots are $8.
Preorder at therewillbedough.com and your pizza is ready when you arrive. Walk-ins are welcome, first come, first served until the pizza runs out, and there may be a short wait.

We're located right on Route 7 (Williamstown Road is Route 7) in Lanesborough, MA just north of Bailey Road. You'll see our sign down by the road. We share the driveway with our neighbor, so once you turn in, stay straight/left up the small hill and continue to our house (cinnamon colored with green trim) where you'll find a few parking spaces.
