Established in 1861 and continued with 6 generations of family farming, Rancho Llano Seco is one of the last intact Mexican land grant properties. The Rancho has a history of of land stewardship including an active partnership with US Fish and Wildlife, The Nature Conservancy, and The Northern California Regional Land Trust. Ninety percent of the land is in conservation and agricultural easements.
Our hogs are never confined or given antibiotics or hormones. Our hogs are Global Animal Partnership (GAP) Certified Level 2.
Our processed products never contain sodium nitrates or nitrites, artificial ingredients or preservatives.
All natural. Our definition places pigs as our first priority� raised and slaughtered in a low stress environment, never fed or treated with anything artificial.
Our heirloom beans are grown on unlevelled row crop fields along the Rancho flood plains created by the Sacramento River. We maintain optimal soil fertility through cover cropping and heavy crop rotation.
Varietals include Jacob�s Cattle, Black Calypso, Appaloosa, Black Turtle, Black-Eyed Peas, Canario, Pinquito, Anasazi, Baby Lima and Cannellini Beans.
