My wife and I attend the market regularly with our two Bernese Mountain Dogs; the atmosphere is friendly, pleasant, and the vendors offer a wide variety of locally grown foods and flowers/plants. The food is great - in the spring, summer, and fall, we supplement our garden harvest with products from the Market - we highly recommend it

I loved visiting the Market while I was at school in Staunton - buying fresh and homemade foods at great prices while supporting the local community :)

An amazing array of produce, baked goods, crafts, and tasty ready-to-go foods. Stands are staffed by some of the most wonderful people I've ever met. There's a sweet old couple who sell hot sausages in a bun, a delightful Mennonite stand with bread, whoopie pies, and the most utterly fantastic cinnamon buns I have ever had. There's a stand where you can buy plants, and several which sell little potted herbs to take home and plant. It's in a perfect location - surrounded by local businesses with coffee, food, jewellery, and glassworks. I've whiled away many a happy Saturday morning there.

They have them 2x/week -- Wednesdays at one location and Saturdays in another. The one on Saturday in Downtown Staunton is particularly nice with live music and cooking demonstrations. The vendors are friendly and have a wide variety of items available. Besides produce there is bread, pies and other baked desserts, cheese, eggs, honey, meat, flowering plants, landscaping shrubs, hand-crafted wood items, and in the spring before there was any local produce there were vegetable and herb plants for home gardeners. I don't think I've ever been to a farmers' market with a wider variety of offerings.

It's the best produce and it's LOCAL!! I get to talk directly to the growers and sometimes there is a local chef demonstrating his cooking skills.

They always have a great selection of locally grown and produced foods. There is something for everyone and the music is a great touch as well. I hate it if I miss a saturday I feel like I have lost out of something really great. The people are all really nice and the community support is great. I like knowing the people who are growing my food and am able to ask them questions about it. I always get some really great recipe ideas as well. Fun for the whole family.

The feeling of community is evident on Saturday mornings and Wednesday afternoons. I know who grew the food, that it is fresh, and that the money I spend stays in my community. But really, mostly it's just fun!

We attend every week because it is just a great place to spend Saturday morning. The booths, the music, the people, the friendliness of the place are wonderful to behold and experience.
