Come and see for yourself the bounty that the southern Adirondacks can offer -- this market on Monday mornings is within sight of the Schroon Lake public beach in the town center parking lot just a block from the main street, Rte 9. Friendly vendors offer fresh vegetables, fruit, meats, eggs, baked goods, wine, cheese, soap, maple, syrup, jams and jellies, herbal dip mixes and more. This is worth the drive for a mini-vacation. Bring a cooler, shop for dinner and then go for a swim or walk around the village of Schroon Lake. The easy parking allows for village exploration as well. Note that this market does participate in the state WIC and Seniors assistance programs.

We buy directly from farms at our home or when we're traveling. The farmers get the profit, not the broker, the grocer, etc.

Schroon Lake is a small rural community in the Adirondacks. When we are there in the summer we find local foods that rival gourmet shops in urban areas!
