Fresh local organic fruits and vegetables, delicious local products like pasta, bread, and cheese, all bought straight from the source. What's not to love? I get to talk to the farmer, they get my money without a middle-man taking a cut, and we get good healthy food for my family in the bargain. And that's not even the best part. The best part is getting to see and visit with my neighbors every week. It's a win for everybody!

Columbia City Farmers Market is a real neighborhood market with great vendors offering a wide variety of fresh produce. It draws the diverse community and is a real public space, with the adjacent park providing area for kids to play and families to sit, enjoy some food, and talk to neighbors.

I love going with the kids to the market and see the piles of the fresh vegetables and fruits, be in contacts with the people who grow them and having the kids feel the origin of the food.

I live in a great neighborhood with many caring people. The vendors at the market set the tone for a friendly, welcoming environment. We have MANY fresh produce vendors to choose from, all of whom sell quality produce. I've heard from people in neighborhoods with their own farmer's markets that ours is the best - and I agree!

Our market is located right next to a public park, where neighbors get to hang out and share their picnic blankets and their produce with friends. Kids are everywhere, and it's a great scene. All nurtured by good, local, sustainable food.

The Columbia City Farmers Market has served all of South Seattle, and now with a light rail stop a few blocks away, it can serve all of Puget Sound!

Great fresh produce. Friendly vendors. Wide variety. Social justice minded (the vendors take food stamps, educational programs, kids activities, support local food bank). And it is near light rail and on major bus lines!

Columbia city comes together as a neighborhood every Wednesday from May to October thanks to the friendly and knowledgeable - not to mention highly talented - vendors and local businesses. All Seattle farmer's markets are a gem - I live closest to Columbia city but I frequent them all as much as I can!
