They are committed to supporting the local community. There is always a wide variety of offerings each week. There is music, community and fun. I love it!

It is an excellent market and a major community effort with lots of local support and enthusiasm.

I love the time I can spend carefully choosing from the vegetable starts, produce & crafts while my kids dance to local musicians and my husband visits with neighbors. It's a true community event each week and enriches the fabric of all of our lives. What we experience while there and what we bring home are both amazing.

Its a great mix of arts, crafts and music blended with fresh local food...fun for the whole family right here on our little island.

Every time I visit Vashon, I make sure I go to the Farmers Market. My son and family live on Vashon and they purchase all their produce and other items at the Market. It is an important part of the community and serves everyone well; both consumers and vendors. Thanks for keeping the community a great place to live.

The Vashon Farmers Market has a wonderful selection of quality produce, crafts, and lunchables. It is a social event in and of itself with live music and a sparkling energy that pervades through the crowds that mingle along its offerings.

Vashon is a wonderful place to live. The Farmers Market is a showcase for the strong sustainability philosophy of the island community. The markets on Saturday and Wednesday are a chance to see what's fresh, to catch up with friends, to drool over local crafts and products and to get a good dose of smiles. What's not to love!

Our Farmers Market is more than just a food market; it is an important social gathering. Once a week people fromall over the island come to the Market to resupply their food larder and to socialize. What should be a 10-15 minute buying experience turns into an hour or more of sharing stories, catching up on gossip (gasp!), and networking on problems facing individuals or the community as a whole. In addition to farm produce, the Market also has an ecclectic selection of local crafts people selling their products and has a different musical group playing each week. This year the Market will be one of four groups sponsoring a day long "Cider Fest" in October. The planning for this event has been in the works for several months and will culminate in an event to be enjoyed by all age groups.

Small neighbor-owned farms...local produce...delicious, healthy, sustainable, food...what's not to like???

Friendly family farmers trying so hard to make a living. They sell only the freshest food. The weekly entertainment is always enjoyable, and our non food vendors have an ecclectic and interesting array of products, usually hand made on Vashon. It feels like a celebration whenever you go to the market.

It is the most happening place on the Island the whole week long even if it is only on Saturdays. There is variety, friendliness and great food to eat right there in the market.

It's friendly, full of fabulous locally and lovingly grown food and crafts, and it's a vital community asset.

Most farmers live here and we see them weekly at least. There is a great connection between who grows our food and the rest of us. And I love seeing what's fresh and just pulled out of the earth, usually the morning I buy it.

The Vashon Farmers Market allows the island's local farmers, craftspeople, and activists to share their crops, art, and ideas with the island community. Every Saturday morning, a myriad of people converge on the Village Green to enjoy the rich local bounty, learn of what is healthy and green, run into friends and family members, and celebrate life on Vashon. A When word got out a few years ago that the land the Market is located on was being listed for sale, islanders rallied by holding bake sales, auctions, and raising money to purchase the Village Green property so the Vashon Market could remain there in perpetuity. How cool is that? That's Vashon cool! That's how much we love the Vashon Farmers Market!

The produce is fantastic, the ambiance is great, and the people are friendly. There is everything from locally grown eats to jewelry and psychic readings. It has it all.
