what is it that compels people to bring their dogs into all of the area markets when there are big signs that say not to?

The selection is great, the prices are reasonable, and the crab cake guy sells the most amazing crab cakes that I 've ever had in my life.

It's close enough to bike there, and the produce is varied and affordable. A lot of farmers and a wide selection of goods and produce make this a great market, as well as the friendly farmers and vendors. Plus it runs all year.

Been attending for 20 years. Still visiting some of the same vendors - everything is owner grown and that is verified. Great place to run into friends and acquaintances and the food is fantastic.

This farmer's market brings our small community together by introducing fresh, wonderful produce and friendly, home town feel.

They have a wonderful and diverse assortment of produce and other food products. From fresh organic herbs, fruits and vegetables to cheeses, breads, pastas, truffles and seafood, you can find it at the Falls Church Farmers Market. The vendors don't just sell you their products, they give you a history of the product and how to use it in recipes and how to store it until you use it. You can't find this at the local grocery store!

I lived in Eugene Oregon where there was an amazing Saturday market. When I moved to the area I immediately researched for a local Farmer's Market. The Falls Church Farmer's Market is one of the most extensive Farmer's Market in the area. It has everything you would ever want at a market with incredible eggs, beautiful greens, wonderful fruits and veggies, fantastic breads, wonderful yogurts, and a new recent addition of crepes! Yummy! It is also fun for children with lots of samples of fresh fruits and jucies. What makes it even more fun is the local music that is played. I just love getting up early on Saturdays to make my way through this wonderful market!

We have been to this market numerous times. We moved to TX in 2006 and never found anything comparable. The market as of 2008 is open year round with a wonderful selection of seasonal produce and other products such as cheese, meat, chocolate and bread to name a few! Friendly helpful farmers, excellent food!

My husband and I have started to make the Falls Church Farmer's Market our weekly stop for fresh, local fruits and veggies. Of the 3 that are closest to us, FC is the best. Lots of vendors, including four different bakeries, Cibola Farms (Buffalo!), and several vendors with fresh eggs. There is also a plant vendor who sells lots of great and somewhat unique plants for your garden (the one around at the back end).

My only frustration is that the vendors don't have better signage so I know who I'm buying from.

There are at least 12 Fairfax Co Farmers Markets in the area. You can find them all listed with directions and times on www.fairfaxcounty.gov/parks/farm-mkt.htm

I live in Annandale and have been looking for markets. Can you tell me where all 3 of the local markets are? Thanks
