I'm from a smaller area of Pennsylvania where fresh, locally grown produce is readily available and the norm. After moving to Reston 10 years ago I struggled for years with the lack of farm fresh products in the area... and then I found the Reston Farmer's Market. The vendors are as nice as can be, their produce is amazing, the baked goods are melt-in-your-mouth delicious, and I still have a basil plant thriving several years after I bought him. It felt like home. It's friendly and fun, the prices are great, I look forward to it every week.

The produce is excellent. The farmers and other vendors are incredibly friendly and are always willing to offer a kind word and advice to those of us who struggle with our own crops!

Our farmers market offers excellent variety, and consistently high quality foods. The vendors are friendly and *knowledgeable*. The Master Gardeners, the musicians, the local merchants. I love the location in the heart of Reston's first development, Lake Anne Village. A trip to the Farmers Market is regular part of my Saturdays, and a must-do when company comes to town. I'm proud to live in Reston and shop at Reston Farmers Market!

I support the Reston Farmers Market because of the great, fresh, beautiful, tasty produce and baked goods! In addition to that, its a great place to go to check in with local artisans, political and social groups and all the people in my neighborhood. There is great live music, good coffee and its in close proximity to Reston Used Books--there is simply no better place to be on a Saturday morning than in the middle of the Reston Farmers Market!

It's absolutely great! You can find anything there from fresh fruits, vegetables, herbs and flowers, to wonderful baked goods, and gourmet spreads. You can watch as fresh kettle corn is made in a gigantic copper kettle, enjoy the sights and sounds of Lake Anne, and the crafters/antiques market around the lake. This market has grown by leaps and bounds the past few years, thanks to a dedicated group of market volunteers and wonderful vendors. It is a weekend destination, not just an afterthought. My little boy looks foward to it all week long, and gets a "special cookie" (decorated as a football, or a leaf, or soccer ball, or something else seasonal) from one of the vendors every time we go. They know him by name, and even if he doesn't show it, it tickles him that they know who he is. It's like a big family.

Support local farmers and enjoy health benefits of fresh food. Reston's FM participants have the best produce and there are a variety of vendors. It is well managed.

It's a tonic! There is nothing like the scent of fresh fruits and vegetables and flowers all mingling together. We don't have to worry about the environmental impact of transporting this produce, we have the privilege of meeting the grower (who can answer our questions about their crop), and we are surrounded by like-minded people, who flock to this market like bees to nectar. It's a wholesome experience from start to finish.

We love the availability of fresh fruits and vegetables and the opportunity to support and connect with the farmers who grow and bring them to market. It's also a great chance to see neighbors, get tips and recipes from the vendors, and find out more about what's going in the Reston community.
