Always has good organic produce, usually from at least 4 or 5 certified organic growers. Also other local organic processed food like tempeh, Jose's is the best in Florida, maybe the US. Can't go wrong by joining one of the 4 -5 organic CSA's.

It's very eclectic with wonderful crafts and artisan's products//food as well as fresh produce. It's always interesting and a great place to meet people & people watch. I

Where else can you see friends, dance with strangers, have coffee with a love and buy great food???

Everyone is so friendly! There is good music, fabulous food of all kinds, fresh milk, a beautiful lawn on which to relax and enjoy the atmosphere. Overall, I LOVE the union street market.

The downtown farmer's market in Gainesville is one of the most fun things you can do on a Wednesday afternoon! Great local food and lots of great people.

Wednesdays is a great day for a farmer's market and everyone is so darn friendly! And if you're hungry, food vendors abound!

Mmm, I love the fresh vegetables and fruit. The farmers and local residents make the union street farmers market a destination every week.

It's like a small "mother earth" carnival in the middle of the week. When I do get to go to the Union Street Farmer's Market, I feel so much more grounded; the sense of community is very strong. The fresh organic produce and other foods are icing on the cake. It affects the way I eat that week. The experience should be part of everyone's life on a regular basis... truly special and rejuvenating.

It's wonderful to have all that fresh, local produce to eat. It's really changed our eating habits.

I love going downtown seeing familiar faces and shopping for the best produce, baked goods and other must have items!
