What residents from up north have to realize is produce doesn't grow in FL in the heat of the summer. May sound odd but it's too hot here. Our growing season and local produce available is from about Sept. to April. So of course anything you get in the summer is from other states. As opposed to other countries. Also there is a limited number of things able to be grown here in the growing season. Mainly because of the soil. So take this into account when going to the market.

This is the most pathetic excuse of a farmer's market I have ever seen in my life. Their selection is small and they are nothing but resellers. Lean down and look at where their boxes come from and they will say "Tennessee" and "Alabama" and "Georgia." There isn't a single fruit or vegetable from FLORIDA. How can you people call yourself a farmer's market

all local growers; friendly; reasonable prices; and they donate to our local food bank! Open even in the summer!

The market brings people to the downtown area and this helps support the businesses on Main Street. It's a nice place to meet people and the fruits and vegetables offered by the vendors are fresh and a great buy.

They have such a variety of things going on besides the vegetables. There is music, games for children, information from local merchants. It's very town square-ish.
