I had the pleasure of trying some grass fed beef for the first time recently from White Oak Pastures. I was raised eating the typical grain fed beef that is full of antibiotics and growth hormones that is mass produced and available in every supermarket in the country. I always thought what I was eating was good and good for you. And, I couldn't have been more wrong! After trying grass fed beef from White Oak, it was like the blinders had been lifted from my eyes (and taste buds). I have to say that it was hands down, the BEST beef I have ever eaten. And knowing the health benefits, along with the guidelines they follow for the environment and humane treatment of their animals I don't think I could return to eating the typical beef you find in your local grocery store. White Oak has single handledly changed the way I think, shop and eat regarding beef.
