I have been a member of Friend's Farm CSA for over 5 years. The quality of the produce is amazing. There is nothing quite like food that has been picked in the field fresh that day vs food that has been picked early and trucked across the country. The variety of produce is outstanding and has afforded me the opportunity to try new things. Chris is always available to explain how to prepare an item. Recipes are often included in the weekly newsletter. The market cooler is stocked with humanely raised meats, fresh eggs, homemade soups, pizzas and quiches. The bakery items are fresh and wholesome and include breads, muffins, cookies and granola...all homemade. There is homemade jam, honey and pesto. The market also sells non-gmo noodles, flour, popcorn and spices. I haven't even mentioned the friendliness of Farmers John and Chris and everyone who works there. Friend's Farm truly lives up to its name. Try it...you won't be disappointed!

This is a wonderful place to pick up Non GMO veggies, and delicious fresh baked breads on Saturdays. We try to stop in as often as we can.. and will continue to support them! Love what they're doing, and happy to have them in Central PA.

We have been going to Friends Farm for about 2 years. There is always ample supply of fresh produce and a wide variety of whatever is in season. We especially appreciate that you can get grass fed, anti-biotic meats, along with hormone free milk, cheese, and eggs. The owners are very friendly and welcome you to the farm as they would welcome you into their own living room. Also a great place to grab lunch on Market Saturdays. If you have kids they will enjoy seeing the goats, cows, and (when they have them) the pigs. A great place to get away and remember the way that life should be.

that should be "anti-biotic FREE" meats :) Figured you knew what I meant.

It's spring at the farm, this is a good time to visit. There are 3 baby steers, and 3 little pigs in the barn.

I never knew there was such a wonderful place tucked away in rural Williamsburg. Such a peaceful setting. Fresh, organic, chemical free produce! Grass feed beef and pork! Fresh baked treats. Always a great selection. John and Chris let you look around the farm, pick your own goodies, feed the animal, take a ride on the swing, you feel welcomed from the first moment you arrive.

We actually first came across this farm by pure accident Spring of 2009. Driving on the back roads one sunny day... We have been going back constantly since! The quality of products is worth the drive! The people working the farm went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed from the first visit! Customer service was one of their priorities! (Along with making sure they had superior products!) Produce, eggs, Fresh Flowers, baked goods and turkeys were all awesome!

My only gripe would be... they sell out of the fresh eggs very fast!!!

This will be our first year participating in the CSA though and we are THRILLED and looking forward to the start of the season!

If you're contemplating going to this farm and trying it out.. DO IT! If you have kids they will LOVE seeing the animals!!
