As a mom of 4 little ones, it's always great when you find a place where the kids can learn and have fun at the same time. A visit to the Morris farm is just that. The owners are very nice will be a memorable fun expereince in which you take away real life learning and get connected to where your food actually comes from.

In the fall the farm also has a festival with a bunch of fun activites. My kids had so much fun picking purple green beans that day!

Thanks so much for making the Morris farm a fun place to be.

Morris Farm is the only u-pick vegetable farm in Allegheny County that is organically certified. We've been picking there for three years: heirloom tomatoes, peppers, beans, squash, herbs, beets... You can mix and match veggies together and pay by the bushel. Last season $24/bushel We do lots of drying, canning, and freezing to enjoy during the long Pennsylvania winter. It's a 45 minute drive from Pittsburgh, and well worth it! Support your local farm and farmer.

I just want to correct this post. The Morris farm is in Westmoreland County instead of Allegheny, right across the border on the other side of North Versailles. They have wonderful selections of hard to find items as well as many basics. My girls had a wonderful time picking purple green beans a few years ago at the harvest festival. I hope they are having it again this year! The owners are so sweet and kind. They are very down to earth people. They also have a passion for organic foods that really rubs off on their customers. :)
