Brines Farm does an excellent winter CSA! I joined in 2010 and split the share with another couple. There was always plenty of food and it was easy to split. I loved eating fresh vegetables throughout the winter. The greens were great to use in soups and stews and the frozen items were an added bonus. The best part was the sweet potatoes!

I would recommend the CSA to anyone! Shannon has a great farm and CSA. I give him credit standing the bitter cold mornings at the farmers market handing out the shares. He has one of the only winter CSAs and the shares are so worth it.

My family and I were delighted to find out about the Brines Farm CSA, which we joined in 2009 and enabled us to eat delicious local food all winter.

Shannon and his crew presented us with healthy, delicious greens, root veggies and the occasional carton of eggs. Depending on how much you love greens it might be good to split a full share, or you can certainly cook and freeze.
