After just a few weeks of fresh produce we are already very happy with our Clear Springs farm share. The vegetables are varied and generous and there is no beating true farm to table quality. No hassle pickup and they are close to us to make it even easier. Thanks for a quality product!

I participated in the 2008 CSA program. I absolutely loved getting fresh produce every week, including many items I had never tried, and now enjoy. Terry and her family were very accomodating when I had to change delivery days for a week here and there due to work, or being out of town. The only concern I have is that the only pick-up location is the farm itself. It was a long drive from my job at the time (a different one from the position I had when I signed up) and was a little inconvienient. I want to participate again this year, but due to the distance will use a different farm. Overall, Clear Spring Farm really showed me the benefits of a CSA program and I would highly recommend it for anyone in the area.

I was a newbie when I signed up in 2008. But I'm a big advocate of supporting our local farmers so I thought I would give it a shot. I bought a full share since I have a family of 4. I anxiously awaited each week to see what surprises I would pick up in my share. I got a ton of veggies! Everything was SO fresh and very good. There were even some veggies I had never tried, but now have some new favorites! Cooking fresh requires a little more work at times, but it was well worth it. It was also nice to be able to buy fresh fruit at their stand whenever I wanted. Terry was very accommodating if I had any questions or requests. I made an amazing green salad for Memorial Day--took it to two picnics and everyone raved about it. You can't get any healthier than this-using fresh picked veggies every week. I would highly recommend--I've already signed up for this year!

I found out about CSAs a little over a year ago and signed up for the waiting list for Clear Spring Farm. The folks were very friendly and called me to sign up for 2008, but I was disappointed with the overall experience. My main complaint is that the list of produce on their website is deceiving. I am a fruit lover and was looking forward to fresh berries, peaches, etc. After receiving weeks and weeks of lettuce, kale, peppers, and other vegetables, I finally asked when I could expect to see some fruit in my bag. It was explained to me that the only produce included in the share was produce grown at Clear Spring. Many of the items they sell are actually from neighboring farms. I was also somewhat disappointed in the quality of the vegetables I received. They were often covered in significant dirt or mud, and they never seemed to be of choice quality.

The Kromer farm does NOT grow all the vegetables they sell. Don't let them fool you! Food is purchased wholesale and trucked in to resell. This is a fact!
