I own Foley Station Restaurant and by using the Farmer's market because I can hand select my produce, meats, and eggs. Being a Locavor leaves the smallest footprint and encorages the local economy by helping keep our money changing hands in the community longer. Besides all that it makes the freshest tastiest food in mt restaurant!

Fresh, local food with a small carbon footprint. Enjoying the fruits, vegies, honey, baked goods of the local area. If you have not been here you should plan a trip to the best place to live and eat in Oregon!

We have a garden so I buy things we don't grow ourselves, or that didn't take well. The LG Farmers Market offers lovely, fresh produce, and I love supporting local growers. Good people, reasonable prices. It is attractive, and I am frustrated with myself when I miss it. This p.m. I am on the hunt for green peppers!

seeing everyone you know plus the entertainment is all local and wonderful. We are so lacking access to fresh fruit and produce and it is there in abundance. Plus we can get fresh eggs sold by local kids and crafts they had made usually to help raise money for their Philly trip. Local ranchers are selling their beef raised without hormones. Our market is small but so appreciated here.

I support La Grande Farmer's Market because our small valley is filled with beautiful people who grow beautiful food. The music is great too!

Supporting the farmer's market is an essential part to our future as a successful downtown. This great entity brings the best of local goods, music, and people to a central gathering point in downtown La Grande, OR. Just getting the community out of the house and providing them the opportunity to purchase locally grown goodness and to add to the positive energy of our continued evolving downtown community.

Supporting local producers is key to ensuring safe food products for our home tables. We must do all we can to encourage and strengthen organic designations and secondarily minimize fossil fuel dependence for our food sources. Supporting the vendors is a win-win situation, and the energy at the La Grande Farmers' Market and social networking is just plain fun, fun, fun.

I believe we all should be buying locally as much as possible. Also staying away from produce sprayed with pesticides is important for you health. All these things that we do in this area will help to stem the tide of global warming. We need to all work together as much as possible!!!!
