It provides a great afternoon/evening market option, with easy parking, for those who can't make the downtown market. Plus it has great venders!

This wonderful market makes it possible for new farmers and smaller-scale farmers to participate in a city market - something that has previously been inaccessable at the large Ann Arbor farmer's market. It is a much needed option, helping to connect more local farmers to more local consumers. And the atmosphere and people involved have just been so nice and welcoming!

It is a quickly evolving market with a great variety of vendors. Also, because it takes place from 3-7 on Thursday afternoon, it gives people the chance to shop at a market who can't get to one during the mornings.

Good to keep local farms producing, local farmers thriving, and prevent urban sprawl from diminishing our connection to the environment and our food sources.

I feel very fortunate to participate in the market as a seller of gluten free baked goods. It is such a wonderful way to spend my afternoon speaking with people from Michigan and visiting our great state. I love the diversity of the market as there are beautiful fruits, vegetables and flowers, as well as amazing tamales, crafts, and other baked goods.

Michigan ranks second for U.S. crop diversity. But, only behind California which has a water supply that is artificially propped up and will dry out in the coming decades. We also have some of the best urban agriculture in the world. Can't beat it. We'll save you a drink of water.

As a (very) small farmer, having a friendly mid-week afternoon market with a great, regular clientele is wonderful. We sell out of eggs every week, and get useful feedback from our regulars. Zingerman's is a super host for this market.

It is a producer market filled with amazing people bringing gorgeous food from all over SE Michigan. You can bring your dog. People come and eat at the picnic tables under the trees and make an afternoon out of it. There is no place I would rather be on a Thursday afternoon.

I am very passionate about growing and purchasing local goods. Everyone should take advantage of this opportunity Every Thursday!

I love the WSFM - in particular because it's open later than most farmers' markets (7pm!) and unlike the downtown Ann Arbor market, there's actually copious parking! Plus their "Farm to Fork" table with tasty demos of fun and simple ways to prepare in-season produce ROCKS.
I'm so glad the City of Ann Arbor decided to OK the zoning and allow the Market to continue, and I'm looking forward to when it opens next Thursday!
