I absolutely LOVE the Greensboro Curb Market! I can get a pound of fresh kale for $1. I even got a super deal on a bushel of greenbeans...$8.
It is all local grown, locally crafted, which warms me inside. I know I'm getting the best foods for my kids (they will eat their weight in kale when prepping kale crisps!) at a superb price and the dollars spent stay in our local area.
I'm not sure if this market accepts the food stamp program, and if not I hope they begin. What better way to help families in need be healthy? They could get their fresh goods from the market, something many cannot afford in the stores.
All in all...this is a fabulous market and I can't wait to see what spring will give us, it's very abundant now! ~ written Dec. 2009

'Tis a center for superb local artisanship in fresh produce, cheeses, baked goods, crafts and like- minded spirits.

I support local growers who are able to provide food for us without excess use of chemicals and who do not rely on commercial trucking to deliver their product. We are saving resources while eating healthier!

I support Greensboro Curb Market because it is a place where small businesses can sell good, quality food, crops, plants and crafts. It is also a place where you can help the enviroment, because 100% of the items are local. It is so good, Obama even went there!

The vendors are more than just vendors- we call them at home to save us eggs, they offer to deliver things to our house, we visit their farms and it is the MOST delicious food you can imagine for half the price of the grocery store. We visit with friends in the community and make new ones there all the time. It is my favorite part of Saturday morning!

The selection is great, and it has a real neighborhood feel. It is wonderful to support the local farms.
