Because it's gorgeous. Because I see all my friends there and because they have the most amazing produce. I also love the knife sharpening guy.

It is beautiful, under a mature arbor of vines (this is wine country so it is very appropriate). The vendors provide lots of organic food, at great prices, and the quality is very strong. They also have coffee and plants and pastries, and little tables to sit at. I run into people I know, even though it gets a big turnout. Happy days are farmers market days!

The freshly picked vegetables with no pesticides, that taste fabulous. Plus the people are friendly and take great pride in what they grow. Also the atmosphere of Vineyard Farmers Market makes it enjoyable to shop. It is nice that the local growers have a place to sell their goods and share with other farmers their passion for growing good food.

The best farmers' market in America is a no-brainer: it is the Vineyard Market in Fresno, California. Located in the number one agricultural county in the United States (whence comes the majority of the nation's produce, along with from the neighboring five counties), the Vineyard Market has a beautiful bespoke pavilion- arbor covered with grapevines and Lady Banks roses, where market days are Wednesday afternoons and Saturday mornings. The freshly-picked produce is first rate. The variety is almost endless, given that almost everything grows locally here, and the market operates year-round (this IS California, after all!) Many of the same vendors have been there for decades. From time to time special events or festivals are held there celebrating some particular agricultural product. Additional agricultural-related products locally produced are available, such as raw milk, honey, virgin olive oils, breads, pastries, nursery plants for home gardens, fresh flowers, etc., and locally-produced cook books of recipes related to the market's items. Located at the intersection of the two main boulevards of the city, it is convenient to all and a friendly place for running into friends and acquaintances or making new ones, especially on Saturdays (one hour shopping, one hour visiting!). Its website is <http://www.localharvest.org/farmers-markets/M14134>.

They provide a wide variety of organic fruits and vegetables that are grown locally and also in other areas of our state. It is a great atmosphere and always fun to see what they have available during different seasons. You will always find items that you cannot get in your local grocery store.

Vineyards Farmers Market is in the center of the San Joaquin Valley, the very heart of California, where farming is our way of life.
It is the grand finale of fresh fruits and vegetables along with other delectables from the vineyards and fields of lifetime friends and families. Our market is one of the grandest of opportunities to visit friends, be outdoors and hopefully continue a tradition in buying healthy foods for our Central Valley families.

Even though we grow most of our own veggies it is great going to the Vinyard because it becomes an outing and social event where you meet all your friends

Fresh, totally local fruits and vegies from the best farmland in the state. Enterprising small farmers that boast a wide array of produce, honey, baked goods, flowers and live plants. It's Heaven from the Earth!

I go to the Vineyard Farmer's Market nearly every Saturday, no matter what the season. The vendors are friendly, very helpful when I ask questions about produce I'm unfamiliar with, and most have very reasonable prices. Some are downright cheap! I've found that I can get most things I need here, and so now I only go to the grocery store once a month or so for things like bread and pasta.

With five serious diseases I find it healing to be within a mile of a fine year-round farmers market like Vineyard. At least 25 vendors show up Saturday summer morning, several of them providing organic veggies and fruits.
Everybody's friendly and cut-flower guy John Warner provides several seasonal seedlings so save your bags and use them next week. Summer fruits bring three hundred people from 7 til noon on Saturdays. Also, Wednesday afternoon from 3 to 6.
I favor the fresh fruit and bring home about 30 pounds for about $50 each Saturday June through September.
THE BEST FOR A HEALTHY DIET !!!
