I recently moved to the neighborhood and now greatly look forward to Thursday afternoons when I grab my reusable bags and head around the corner to pick up fresh, local ingredients for my Thursday night dinner.
Last week I purchased some delicious mixed greens and additional veggies for a salad. I also picked up a small amount of cube steak and headed back around the corner to my new home. After some light marinating in a balsamic vinegar and a lemon pepper rub, I had a colorful and tasty steak and green salad to bring to Manito Park for an evening picnic with my partner.
Thank you, Spokane, for supporting local agriculture, small businesses, and this community's health and nutrition. The local vendors here are knowledgeable about their products and very friendly. The atmosphere is filled with beautiful music, vibrant colors, and a variety of delicious aromas. Thursday Markets make my neighborhood even more beautiful!

It's great to have a market close to my house that is open after I get off from work.

It is close to home and it fits the character of our unique neighborhood. It is also a very helpful thing to have for out little community because it brings fresh produce and other healthy goods to us nearby.

it's local, it's close to home, it's in a lower-income area of town that serves people that really need fresh, local produce.
