There is always a great environment at the Farmer's Market. There are so many choices and variety. And it also helps low-income families by accepting WIC and Food Stamps, which helps more families eat healthy.

The market not only brings great local food to the city but it brings city residents together in an atmosphere like that of a medieval market town. Musicians, magicians, children and neighbors meet, talk, shop and thrive.

Not only do they provide wonderful local food, support our local farmers and merchants, and offer local entertainment events, but they are a major source of maintaining connections in the New Haven community.

The backdrop is Edgewood Park, which is a beautiful setting for a farmers' market. Although it's not the biggest, the variety is excellent and the people are friendly. Plus, it is within walking distance.
