We got to the Toledo Farmer's Market at least twice a month. There are local vendors there and we get great produce, especially this time of year. Flying Rhino is also their with their roasted coffee beans and making coffee drinks.

I have been going to the market for most of my life. I went as a kid and now do my shopping every Sat. at market. I am a firm believer in eating local food, also what's in season. I like knowing where my food comes from. I only wish that the growing season lasted longer.

I've been going to Toledo Farmer's Market for over a decade. The produce is always great, and the local vendors/farmers are very knowledgeable, helpful and upbeat. I also like the programs like the Soup Tastings and recipe demonstrations. Yea Market!

I love interacting with the families who have been selling their food at the Market for generations, and I like knowing where my food is coming from. It makes me feel better to spend my money locally and to know that it is helping keep these family farms alive. But too, I like the community that the Farmer's Market perpetuates. Sometimes you'll see friends down there, old classmates, former co-workers, or just people you don't see all the time. Sometimes you just say Hi and catch up, or maybe you go out for coffee or lunch. And last - the fruits, flowers, and vegetables are just fresher and they taste better.

I love my farmers market because the foods are always so fresh. They taste 100 times better than what you get at the grocery store. The vendors and are always so friendly and let us know how to keep what we buy fresh. I love the farmers market. I just wish they were open a few more days downtown.

I've just recently moved from Toledo to Columbus OH and still go back to Toledo every other weekend. Comparing the two cities Toledo has a *much* wider selection of local fruits and veggies. For such a smaller city, it's got the best Farmers Market I've ever seen!

Simply put, buying locally grown, baked and crafted is the perfect way to support our community. When we aid one another, we grow and prosper. When we do not, like our gardens, we wither and die. Our Farmers Market is a wonderful place to gather and share information with experienced individuals who are willing to invest in our future.

My family supports the Toledo Farmers Market becuase it helps local farmers, allows us to enjoy fresh, local, healhty produce in season, it is a family friendly atmosphere, and it gives us an opportunity to teach our children the importance of buying local, eating healthy, knowing where our food comes from, and which foods are in season when. Market Day is our family's favorite day of the week!

I do not live in the area, but I try to come there as often as possible...I support
home gardeners because I believe in them. Farmers and home gardeners
are the backbone of this country. It is an enterprise where people come together on a weekend and enjoy fresh fruits and vegetables...I wished I lived close by, but when I am in the area, I support them...I send people there from all over..When people are traveling I send them to the Farmers Market...Even people that live near by does not know that is in that location...Again, I suport
you, and so happy I can come and get my veggies, and yes even a fresh
chicken if I want....You have something special going on there on a larger
scale and the people are so friendly ....Need I say more...love it!!!!

The TFM vendors take pride in their produce, baked goods, plants and many other goods they bring to market every week. The popularity of the market (even over the winter months) shows they have the freshness and goodness shoppers are looking for. I've been shopping at the TFM for more than 20 years and never been disappointed. Everyone is always friendly and willing to share their growing tips or cooking ideas. Good Luck Toledo Farmer's Market. Support our local growers.

I love the infectious, positive attitudes of all the vendors and visitors at the Farmer's Market. All the produce, breads, soaps, coffees, etc are so fresh and yummy. It is very inspiring to see so many people in the community come together to enjoy local food and local, homemade products. Not to mention the many themes (Canning demonstrations, salsa cooking, pie contents, etc) that accompany the Market on different weeks. There is always something new to learn when you visit--how many times do you get that opportunity at a regular grocery store?

I've lived in many places, and the Toledo Farmers Market has been the most vibrant. Its flagship market in downtown Toledo bustles on Saturday mornings and afternoons with vendors from northwest Ohio and southeast Michigan. One can find a veritable cornucopia of produce along with locally roasted organic and fair-trade coffee; locally produced organic, artisan cheeses; fresh-cut and potted flowers and herbs; locally baked breads and pastries; and free-range poultry, eggs, and beef. Add to that local musical entertainment and there's no better way to spend a Saturday morning or afternoon, I've found no other farmers market like it. The Toledo Farmers Market also increase accessibility with weekday satellite markets while also accepting food stamps and credit/debit cards and having programs for senior citizens.

We love our historic downtown area, and the market just adds to the flavor, great food and smiling faces. Over the years it's been a great way to kick off the weedend on a Saturday morning, and then walk to a favorite spot for coffee, or some community art, a walk by the river, or just admire the beautiful old buildings, maybe later in the day you can take in a ballgame. It promotes our feeling of commmunity and a simpler time.

Lots of local fresh produce at reasonable prices and its fun to take a day and go to market the way people did in days gone by and still do and its important to help to give each generation a sense of the way things were in the past and how tradition and good health is something we need to carry on.
