Just moved here from TN. These are definitely the best watermelons I've ever eaten. I've been taking them back to Memphis with me to give to friends.

I have always loved Watermelons since I was a kid. I remember eating them on my grandma's back porch. Fun, Fun! As I grew older I got indigestion every time I ate watermelons. Bummer! Then one day I was traveling through Carmi, Il, not far from my home. I couldn't resist and was going to deal with the indigestion. Besides, the family would love to have a good ole fresh Watermelon! So I stopped at the stand one sunny afternoon. Someone there was kind enough to have some samples of all sorts of melons. I tried a piece of yellow watermelon and loved it! Best thing is, I didn't get indigestion and it was better than I had remembered since I had to quit eating them. Well, now I am hooked on "John Brown Melons" ~ yellow uns specially :-) Ever since that day I have told everybody about the Melon stand in Carmi, Il. Then to my surprise the Stand came to Evansville, In and in the 2nd year had 2 locations. What a great business to bring to Evansville, In! So now we have really fresh produce from Spring to Fall. From Watermelons to Pumpkins, hopefully every year!

Richard raises the BEST seedless yellowmeat watermelons on the planet! you will not find better! He also has a small cantaloupe type fruit called a tuscan that is the perfect size for a single serving melon without the strong aftertaste!
