We always prefer to support local businesses. The Duvall market is actually smaller and the Issaquah market is large and inpersonal. And are Leonberger dogs have so many friends that they've made there!

Carnation Farmers market is a real Farmer's market. So many farmers markets are filled more with vendors that sell trinkets than vendors that sell food. At Carnation you find great fruit and vegetables from local farms and even get to meet the folks that grow the food. Plus the people are friendly and helpful and they have children's activities and live music.

Carnations Farmers market is great because it features a variety of vendors and activities, including local farmers, master gardeners to answer your questions, taste the market and sometimes cooking demonstrations. At the Carnation Farmer's market you can find the best cheeses and the best breads. We have a special childrens' booth and wonderful music for us to sit and enjoy our delicious locally Senior Center sponsored hamburgers, plus home made pies. Then we have great contests where we can compete against our neighbors and friends using the local produce. It's a real community, when even the children can come and play with a May pole & make flower wreaths, plant seeds to see how things grow and draw chalk art with our local artist. We do it right.

We do almost all of our food shopping at the Carnation Farmer's Market when it is running. We plan our week and our menu around market day. The high quality of the food, getting a chance to talk directly to the farmers, and the diversity of food to choose from are reasons we like it. Because we can buy dinner, we make an evening of it. We enjoy the music while our son plays with his friends at the kid's tent or at the park next door.

The Carnation market is, first and foremost, about farmers and food. It hasn't become the kitschy collection of craft vendors that most area markets have. It remains true to the "farmers" part of the name. Their selection of local produce is -- hands down -- the best around.

We have been coming since the market started and now we even plan our menus around what's available. I love all the local farmers, a chance to see familiar faces, the kids and chalk art, the music, and the Senior Center hamburgers!

Great selection of vendors with a wide variety of foods. Farm vendors grow some of the best local and organic foods in the area, we are so lucky to have them coming to our market. Add in nut butters, honey, great wood-fired bread from Alex, fresh pasta, homemade soaps, pastries, local eggs and it is just a great place to go for weekly shopping. The music and chalk art is pretty great too.

Because my niece loves to play on the playground while the grownups shop. Also, the tamales are awesome and you can't get more local when many of the farms are less than ten miles away.

This grass roots farmer supported market is a wonderful local market for those of us who live in the middle of this semi-rural farming area. It brings together people from the area, supports farmers and other local food producers and is a wonderful source of high quality, carefully grown foods.

We are located in an agricultural valley where a local organization of farmers have invested in, created and run our market. We are a small town and grateful that our local farmers have made a commitment to our community. The market manager places a priority on supporting our local economy, non-profits and business owners. They focus on food at our market and do not allow non-food artisans which strengthens their message of the link between the land around us and our food. It is a warm, lively market that is frequented by our town folks as well as those from neighboring towns. We all love it.
thank you

i support carnation farmer's market because many of the vendors are small, local, organic farmers and artisans. i want my food to come from these local sources and who wouldn't support a kid selling eggs from his very own chickens?? this market has a sweet, hometown feel and there are always plenty of kids and dogs.
