It's a beautiful place to enjoy a delicious cup of coffee or tea, while eating locally thus thinking globally. Is there any better way to eat right?

It is a place were I can get the best fresh vegetable's, eggs and treats around while I enjoy great music, yogi, and meeting with new and old friends and friendly dogs. And yes I can have breakfast. I just love the park and the people and the farmers that live and work so hard nearby and in our city. Makes me feel hopeful and alive to this fantastic earth.

It is convenient to my home and set in the tranqil location of historic Tower Grove Park. The majority of items offerred for sale are products of cottage industries. The vendors are always knowledgeable and eager to talk to you about their products. It's a nice break from my usual hectic weekday schedule - a pleasant, leisurely, and interesting amble among the different vendors' booths.

So many reasons! To encourage the production of organic produce and meat. To support real farmers and ranches in rejection of industrial farming practices. To support locally grown food sources. To enjoy honestly grown, really flavorful, fresh food, as well as support the community of like minded people for whom food source is a real concern.

I love all of the things that has happened in the neighborhood these last few years. The market is where I go every Saturday to buy wonderful produce, bakery goods, and other products produced by these local farms, and buisinesses. My friend, Annie and I head for the coffee and crepe booths,, sit in the pavillion, and enjoy the morning, mingling with both strangers, aquaintances, and friends. Then there is the live music. Truely a great way to start off the weekend. Thanks, Will Pascoe

Have been in and out of the area for years. Worked for Pelican's of Pelicans Restaurant at Grand And Shennandoah, as Mrs. Pelican's nurse. Also worked at St. Louis Bread on Grand at Arsenal for a long time..This area needs a market of this type, as the bus routes have changed, and many of the seniors and disabled cannot make it to Soulard. It is time for one closer to the South Side, and will benefit many, as well as the dietary advantages. Thanks, and Good Luck..It is excellent..

As an RN involved with healthy food on a national level I think we need to grasp every oppertunity to provide the very best food to the public. I feel this is done best by providing locally grown produce, dairy and meat. Their are many facts out there that prove that our good health first starts with good food and if we have a hand in the growing of that food then we have a stake in our health. Things like this bring community together and we need that.

The vendors are knowledgable, friendly, and give great tips and recipes about how to best appreciate their foods! It is truly remarkable to see the different groups of people who all come out and support the market. There are children with parents, grandparents, people with their dogs- everyone just out enjoying life. The free yoga draws crowds every weekend.
