I love being able to buy fresh produce and not having to travel far. The peaches here are definitely my favorite but we also love the apples and tomatoes! There is an excellent variety. It?s a great place to take kids and the staff is always very friendly. It?s a truly a gem in our small town.

For many years, during the peach harest, my grandparents, Maurice and Dorothy Manbeck bought peaches from Grissom's. I remember as a young boy eating these peaches and never knew where they came from until now. My grandfather passed away and while in charleston for the funeral with my family we drove out to Richard's Farm in Greenup for a excellent dinner. On the way, my mother said "lets stop at Grissom's orchard". To my surprise my mom told me that this is where my grandparents bought their peaches. I have tried a lot of peaches over the years but never could duplicate the taste of the peaches that my grandparents had. We were in luck. It was peach harvest. We bought a couple boxes of Grissom's Red Haven Peaches and after one bite the memories I had as a boy returned.

If you are looking for one of the best peaches around I highly recommend trying one of Grissons Red Haven.
