I visited The Mount Holly Farmers' Market last season and was highly impressed. The friendly vendors offered a variety of produce (some organic), fish, honey and bees wax, and crafts. A cooking demonstration is always a treat, including some of the products being offered by vendors. There were even gluten-free baked goods for the asking! Music rounds out the experience with live performances by local artists. It is truly a delight to spend time there.
You can find a story about my experience on my blog, Maple Hill 101.
Be sure to pay this market a visit! You won't be disappointed! daisy

We take pride in providing fresh, local, organic, healthy foods to our community and are so proud to support our local growers, farmers, and vendors. We also provide educational segments each week with local chefs, bee keepers, story tellers, etc. Our market is a great way to meet with friends, family, meet newcomers within the community that share the same appreciation for delicious, healthy, fresh, organic, local foods!!

It supports the local farmers and brings added value by offering cooking tips, gardening seminars to the customers. Brings people downtown weekly that helps other retail vendors exposure on weekends. It has had amazing growth and attendance in 3 years.

WONDERFUL addition to our town, and has a fun, healthy, and energizing feel to it. Leigh Brinkley and her FM group has done an amazing job of opening our citizens eyes and stomachs to the MHFM!!! They deserve many awards for this effort!

I support the MH Farmers Market because I want to know where my food comes from! The meal is free of antibiotics, hormones, etc.
The local flower grower has wonderful flowers in the spring. The cut sunflowers brighten my day. It is a place to see old friends and make new ones.

The Mount Holly Farmers Market is the community gathering place on Saturday morning. Whether or not you need to buy from the great selection of produce, meat, fish, fruit, bread and cheese, one must go to the market to see who else is there and to catch up on what's going on in town. Cooking demonstrations by outstanding chefs from Johnson & Wales University make the Mount Holly Farmers Market unique.

I support the Mount Holly Farmers Market because it encourages the community to support local growers and producers, provides a sense of community and networking in Mt. Holly, and gives area growers and producers a place to share their products. Isn't that what community is all about?

It is close and doesn't get more local than my own home town! The folks are friendly with great tips and advice...and are willing to answer any questions about their wares. I am unable to keep a garden of my own; the Mount Holly Farmers Market is the next best thing!
