I thought CSA's would just have fresh produce in the forms of fruit and vegatables. Little did I know! Trailhead has fresh Dairy, and they also get Grass fed beef and free range chickens! I've learned allot about local agriculture, and had fun at the same time! The season has ended now, but I'm still waiting for the free range turkey that will come just in time for thanksgiving!.

I'm looking forward to next year!

Trailhead CSA is an excellent example of how to eat locally and organically while helping your community and the neighbors you really appreciate. Produce is varied and unique, offers competitive pricing and a great selection, and is mostly organic. The Reders are wonderful and hardworking people, pickup is flexible, and the selection is outstanding! In addition to produce they also offer breads, canned goods, honey, organic coffee, a full raw dairy line, wool products from their Alpacas, and a variety of humanely raised and butchered meats. Several openings for work opportunities may allow you to trade labor for food, which is always a bonus. If you live in the Pocono area I highly recommend trying it out!

This is a first time CSA for my family. Trailhead is owned by the nicest family. They are pleasant to deal with, always accommodating, and their produce is always fresh and delicious. They always have a great variety. We even had the opportunity to try new things that we have never seen before. My whole family enjoys going there. Just an all around great experience and healthy too.

The best thing about TrailHead CSA is the variety and choices you get there. It is different from other CSA's in that you do not get produce chosen for you. Rather, it is more like a food co-op where you choose what you want from a variety of in season produce, fresh meats and poultry, dairy, coffees, breads, honeys and jams, even alpaca wool and socks. Dave always tries to accommodate requests for different varieties of produce as well, so that there is something different to try. Dave and his family are genuinely committed to promoting local, seasonal eating, providing pertinent information on buying, storing and preparing the food offered in this CSA. I'm very happy that I decided to try this CSA. My cholesterol has dropped due to the increased veggies in my diet, and I feel the quality of food I am eating has dramatically improved.

This is my first experience being in a csa, but this one is structured wonderfully! You are committed to spend a certain amount, but you get to choose your bounty from fruits, vegetables, dairy, meat, bread, and MORE! David and his family are a great source of information, providing recipes, storage suggestions, etc. I highly recommend joining. It was made my whole family healthier and more knowledgeable.

This is my first experience with a CSA and it is fantastic! I love getting fresh produce, dairy, breads and even meat each week. My children enjoy the trip, too. They have a great time discovering new produce and learning the origin of many of the foods offered. They also love seeing the Alpacas! It's like a field trip for them. As a result, my entire family is trying new foods. Dave is a gem - he loves what he does and takes pride in providing fresh, wholesome, local products to lots of people! This CSA has changed my family's life for the better!
