We were vacationing in Vermont and contacted Lisa about visiting the farm. We thought it would be fun to see the goats and meet the creators of our fiber. Lisa and her family were very accomodating--showing us around and answering all of our questions. It made buying the lovely yarn that much more meaningful.

I purchased a raw shetland fleece from Rancho Descansamos last week. I was impressed with how quickly they responded to my order and shipped the fleece. The fleece is as expected, straight off the sheep, VM is there but not a great deal, and the hay straws are easily discarded. It is a lovely rich brown with lighter areas, as described in the listing. I have yet to scour and process the fleece, but I am happy with the quality of the wool, and I'm sure it will spin up into a lovely yarn. Thanks again for the great service and quality product!
