There're local and vegetarian--convenient location. They care about the environment and bringing healthy food to their customers who have become their friends.

One of the best things about Charlotte. The vendors are so passionate about their wares. It's a fun outing I look forward to going to twice a week.

the manager has a heart for not only local farmers but also urban farmers and people who grow in their backyard....thus creating community..people come to the market to buy and end up gathered in groups talking to folks...connections are made..recipes shared...chefs doing demonstrations...it's funky, diverse and growing....Lynn,the manager also puts out a great weekly newsletter to vendors and customers alike to let them know what is coming down the pike for that week or event.I love it!

Fresh, local and organic. What's not to love? It's Charlotte's shining example of a farmer's market done right!

The Tailgate Farmers Market adds a lot to the South End/Dilworth community, which would otherwise only have large supermarkets to choose from for produce. It's also a lot of fun and provides a nice, relaxed social environment during the weekends.
