Fresh, Quality Produce
By: Holly Wielkoszewski (Dec 1, 2010)
My husband and I subscribed to the Fall 2010 share, our first with Dragonfly. We took advantage of the Whole Foods pickup option, which was fabulous. I loved having the flexibility to pick up either Saturday or Sunday.
The produce was always fresh, with a great variety, and often almost too much for just the two of us to eat. I ended up learning how to freeze some new vegetables this year. I didn't feel that we were ever overwhelmed with just one or two items, which was nice.
The only thing that could be better would be inclusion of a weekly newsletter/produce listing (or a weekly posting in their website). I often had to play the "which vegetable is this?" game.
Highly recommend DFF CSA.

The 2009 season was my first year doing a CSA in the Northern VA area and Dragonfly Farms was amazing. The produce that they provided was fresh, delicious, and interesting. They often provided items to the CSA that could not be found anywhere else at the market (many great heirloom tomatoes and beans!).
Claudia was great to work with, she was very flexiable with pick-up arrangements and was always sticking a little something extra into your basket.
I really loved my experience with Dragonfly Farms and I would definetly recommend them to anyone interested in a CSA in Northern VA.
Delicious, Convenient, Fabulous

We love our CSA with Dragonfly Farms. The prices are very reasonable and they have a wide selection of fruits and vegetables. The crates are a good size and they really try to fill them up (especially during the peak season!). And, everything was always fresh and delicious.
Dragonfly Farms is also more flexible than many CSAs. Many groups won't allow you to do make-ups for missed weeks or substitutions. But, they worked with us on food allergies and travel schedules.
I would highly recommend this group to anyone and everyone!
