The produce was always fresh, with a great variety, and often almost too much for just the two of us to eat. I ended up learning how to freeze some new vegetables this year. I didn't feel that we were ever overwhelmed with just one or two items, which was nice.
The only thing that could be better would be inclusion of a weekly newsletter/produce listing (or a weekly posting in their website). I often had to play the "which vegetable is this?" game.
Highly recommend DFF CSA.
Claudia was great to work with, she was very flexiable with pick-up arrangements and was always sticking a little something extra into your basket.
I really loved my experience with Dragonfly Farms and I would definetly recommend them to anyone interested in a CSA in Northern VA.
Dragonfly Farms is also more flexible than many CSAs. Many groups won't allow you to do make-ups for missed weeks or substitutions. But, they worked with us on food allergies and travel schedules.
I would highly recommend this group to anyone and everyone!
