The people are great! I love getting locally grown produce from farms (and farmers) "with a face." It ias so nice to get to know them as well. Some, once they learn of your preferences, bring in unusual things for you to try. (like different spicey greens! Yum. More nutritious as well.

they continually do improvements - most recently making the market - "Zero Waste" which is awesome! They also allow the local Career Development Center to sell baked goods for the Restaurant Careers program & allow other non-profits to present information & sell wares.

So much variety! Well managed and organized. It's just a treat on Saturday morning to stroll the market and talk to the vendors. I especially like the fact that people can use food stamps at the market.

Room to move, an osprey family in the nest overlooking the market, a diverse community, and organic mini donuts!

It's mellow, excellent farmers and gourmet food vendors. Plenty of parking, nice trees, comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. Music, pies, dogs, kids, ice cream, organic vegies, bison, and salmon. What's not to love???

It's a way to eat seasonally and locally, keep money in the local economy, and keep land in agricultural production instead of the production of housing and commercial/retail developments.

it's great that I can get local produce, flowers, etc. so close to my home. Isn't this what sustainability is all about! We all need to be more conscious of our carbon footprints and how we secure food.

Longmont Farmers Market reflects two principles that I endorse -- sustainability and buy local.

We all live in the midst of modern chemicals and pollutants that are impossible to avoid. At least the Farmer's Market's naturally grown produce helps to balance my diet.
