I absolutely love this farmers market, you can get a good variety of veggies, eggs, milk and lots of other locally farmed items !!

We love going to this place. The farm is beautiful, the grill is unique, great coffee shop and farm stand. The problem has been with our CSA produce. Some of the greens and vegetables are so bitter we can't eat them. We thought perhaps it was just certain items, but it has happened with most of the greens and lettuces and sometimes other items. We had an armenian cucumber once that was so bitter it ruined the entire salad and we couldn't eat it. Hey, we are not picky eaters - far from it. But so much of the produce is often either inedible or unpleasant, it ends up going to our chickens. They wouldn't even eat some of the bitter greens, and usually they gobble up everything.

This place is tight, really tight. To see that joe's farm grill at night, it's just..well you'll see what I mean. It's one of the most unique places I've been to, and it makes me remember what I wish the world would be like. Small communities with local farms supporting them. When it is in the middle of an urban setting like this, that just makes it all the more special and interesting. The grill is like a restaurant for this local community, and a wonderful gathering point for local people to socialize so it's pretty lively.

The Joe's farm grill makes their food using the surrounding farmland as their source for ingredients as much as possible. They grow the ingredients there, organically. So for a lot of things in the food, there's no possible way they could be more fresh. So, you can imagine, they're really tasty :) This place was packed when I went there, but the line was quick and the food was delicious, and it was cheap. My little group ended up sitting outside where they had lots of extra room and lots of nice toasty heatlamps in the evening times to keep you warm when you're enjoying the outside. The interior and exterior of the restaurant are decorated as if it were all a giant piece of progressive art. It's delightful. There's giant trees covering the whole of the area, with christmas lights strung up everywhere. Everyone that works there seems friendly and helpful.
