I love this market because it is right next door to where I work, you get to meet great people from the neighborhood and you can also enjoy live musical presentations.

In Hartford there is only 1 grocery store, which is in Hartford's southend. Out of the 7 farmers markets in Hartford, the Northend Farmers Market is the only one in the northend. All-in-all the access to healthy and afforadable food in the north end (and in the city of Hartford as a whole) is very limited! Also, this farmers market brings a sense a community, which is needed, hosting live music, nutrition information, a host of wrap around services, and it supports local farmers.

The fruits and vegetables are always fresh and the price is reasonable. The workers are also so friendly and kind.
