The Geneva Green Market sells only locally grown (mostly) organic food and encourages people to eat healthy by hosting workshops on how to do so. The people who run the market don't just tell you to eat healthy; they help you figure out how to become healthy in all aspects of your life.

I love this market! The organizers strive for all local, organic (or naturally grown, if not certified, or IPM) producers only, which is wonderful to have at your fingertips for those of us trying to buy that way. How wonderful to be able to pay the farmer directly! All the farmers/cheese makers/etc. are so friendly and warm, willing to give advice, recipes and gardening tips.

it's great to shop for seasonal fruit and produce and it's in my neighborhood so I can bike and/or walk there. the vendors are all very knowledgeable and besides the highest quality produce and fruit, it's fun to try a new cheese, cut of meat, or condiment!

The GGM is a growing market providing great and diverse products to our communities. 80% of our produce is grown within 20 miles of our market. Not many markets can say that. With a developing education and community outreach programs it is sure to become a destination market!

It has the freshest produce, a wonderful selection of bakery and cheeses, and a unique selection of potted plants. The cooking demonstrations, music performances and activities for the kids make the Geneva Green Market outstanding. I've been to several farmers markets in the area and the Geneva Green Market is the best by far.

So much enthusiasm, commitment, passion and knowledge about eating locally grown food is generated from the Geneva Green Market. The love for fresh & natural food is contagious and habit forming. In fact, I'm headed off to the Green Mkt. this morning. from a single mom w/ limited budget, who now enjoys & appreciates organic, fresh picked, local food

They are helpful with recipes and inspiring healthy, planet sustaining, humane ways of having a good relationship with food and the planet. They need some money to make it possible to accept food stamps, so that good food is available to those unable to afford it.

Are there ANY markets in DuPage that accept food stamps? I have always loved shopping the farmers markets and recently visited the Geneva Green Market for the first time. I liked it but my family's income dropped to the point where we qualified for food stamps last year and it is really a struggle to eat healthy now.
