I've been getting my grass-fed/pastured beef, pork and poultry from Nature's Harmony Farm since April 2009. Tim and Liz Young run an open and honest operation, producing quality sustainable meats for their customers. As part of their CSA program, I get 15 pounds of a variety of cuts of meat and a dozen eggs per month. Everything has been delicious!

Also, this farm offers tours and other events at the farm so you can go and see for yourself how the animals are raised. As a careful and conscientious eater, this was important to me. You can see and learn about everything, from the beginning to the end. There is total transparency - you are not left in the dark about any part of the process. Tim and Liz are also very willing to answer questions and be as accommodating as possible to their customers.

As with any CSA program, you don't always get exactly what you are hoping for. Sometimes you get a lot of ham roast. But this does open up to you a way to try different cooking techniques, new recipes, etc., and I did not find it a hardship. (This is how I learned to make bacon!) Plus there is often an opportunity to purchase additional items when you pick up your monthly share.

I am proud to support local sustainable farming, and Nature's Harmony Farm makes it easy and delicious! They are the real deal.

I found Natures Harmony after reading several books on our industrialized food system. I was searching for an alternative to the mass produced CAFO meats that are raised on antibiotics, hormones, and cruelty. I was looking for an alternative and wasnt so sure I could find it in GA but I was happily surprised when I found Natures Harmony and made a trip to see the farm in May 2008. Liz showed me around and I was able to see firsthand the chickens, cows, and heritage breed pigs roaming and foraging at pasture. I also got to see and hear about true sustainable farming that is beyond organic and treats animals with dignity and respect. The meat is flavorful and delicious! Weve been CSA customers and also get our thanksgiving turkeys from Tim & Liz and are always impressed with the quality and price. I know where my meat comes from and I know what is in it or rather what isnt in it and I know that I am feeding my family a healthful alternative to the standard grocery store meat.

Tim and Liz have created a wonderful farm and are producing delicious, healthy eggs and meat. We took a farm tour in January, and were thoroughly impressed with the farm, with their willingness to share and answer questions, and with the meat and eggs we came home with.

We have been happy CSA members since April, and would recommend this delicious food to anyone! I will say that you must be prepared to chew your food (not a problem for me), since these animals have led active, happy lives, but a little jaw exercise is so worth it for the flavor and to support humanely raised food. Also, a little cooking experimentation has been helpful in regard to tenderizing some of the cuts of beef.

My absolute favorites are ANY of their wonderful pork, and the delicious eggs. And, as others have said, visit their fascinating blog to find out more about what they've done and what they are doing. It's great reading!!

My husband Jon and I have been purchasing directly from farmers for the last 3-4 years. We try to visit all the farms personally to check out how the food is being raised. We first bought a few pounds of ground pork from Natures Harmony when they made a delivery to a nearby county. Jon was immediately impressed with the efficiency of the delivery service.

Last October we participated in one of their farm tours. That was a very enlightening experience. Tim led a well-organized tour that revealed his intelligence, commitment to sustainability, and the transparency that is a trademark of the farm. Liz was energetic and showed such love and delight in the animals under her care. The humaneness of their operation was very apparent. We went home with some meat and fresh eggs.

We appreciate getting regular posts from Liz and Tim sharing the challenges and realities of their farm life.

We jumped at the opportunity to join their meat CSA and have been enjoying high quality products for the last 5 months. We feel good about supporting their business while enjoying great heritage meats from an operation that is healing the planet!

I found Tim and Liz Young of Nature's Harmony Farm about a year ago when I first began to study the local food movement, and in particular, pastured meat. I was interested in finding out whether there was a local producer and was pleased to find Nature's Harmony right here in Georgia.

I was thrilled when I learned that they had a meat CSA and put myself on the already full waiting list. About 6 months ago, I finally had the opportunity to join the CSA and I am never going back!!!

Not only do Tim and Liz produce excellent meat, they do it humanely, and respectfully. The care and attention that they provide to their animals is evident in the flavor and quality of the meat. I realize now that I never really had good, fresh meat! Everything I have tried is packed with amazing flavor, despite the fact that it is lean. The Ossabaw Island pork is my absolute favorite. The monthly, 10lb CSA share is more than enough to feed my family of four and I almost always purchase additional items when available. I won't even look at grocery store meat anymore!

In addition to the CSA, Tim and Liz keep a blog about their work, offer farm tours and have recently started a new "Farm School" to help others interested in sustainable farming. I truly appreciate the care and committment that Tim and Liz put toward their farm and I know that what I am feeding my family is the best food I can provide them. I love being a part of this CSA and highly recommend their food!

Honest, conscious and good hearted farming! After following TIm, Liz and the growth of the farm via their blog, I knew that I had found a meat supplier that provided meat that I could trust to eat myself and feed to my family. They hide nothing because there is nothing to hide. The quality and choice of cuts vary each month; we have enjoyed the variety in our CSA membership. My children are totally spoiled by the eggs and refuse to eat eggs from any other chicken! We buy all of our meat from Nature's Harmony-beef, pork and poultry. The meat taste the way meat should, not gamey or bland. The chicken is lean and it took me a few recipes to master moistness-but remember, these chickens are running around in the pasture and not stuck in a roost growing FAT. Our CSA membership is priceless, knowing that we support local, honest farmers who really put their hearts into their animals and what they do. Please take the time to surf their website & read the blog, I'm sure you will come away feeling like you know Tim, Liz, and the Nature's Harmony animals.

My wife and I joined the Nature's Harmony Farm CSA in April 2009. This is not our first experience with Pasture Raised meat, so we had expectations when we joined. After 5 months, everything that we have received from Tim and Liz has exceeded our expectations.

We finally had the opportunity to visit the farm last weekend (August 2009). They have an impressive setup. The animals are all out on pasture with plenty of room to roam and everybody seemed happy to be doing what they naturally do. The diversity of the farm is amazing with several different breeds of each type of animal.

As for the price, you get what you pay for, and I'm getting a great value. We have only been receiving a 10lb/per month share and we have ceased purchasing meat at the grocery store. The eggs are about the same price as the 'organic-cage free' eggs that you buy at the grocery store, but the quality is much better. All of the meat is lean. A pound of ground beef has virtually no grease after cooking, and tastes much better than store bought.

I highly recommend the farm blog. It is updated frequently, and is a very interesting read. It will give you an idea of their philosophy as well as the mechanics behind what they are doing.

It is nice to know that you are supporting humane animal treatment while still receiving an outstanding product. We have recommended Tim and Liz to our friends, and we would recommend them to anyone interested in high quality food.

When I found Nature's Harmony Farm a year ago I was on a mission to find a local farmer that ran their operation with integrity, had great care and respect for the animals they raised as well as for the environment and how they impact it. Tim and Liz really put their heart in to what they do and that comes across in the entire experience with them. The quality and selection of meats are superb and they keep the prices reasonable. I'll be a customer of theirs for a long time to come!

Despite being an animal lover, I am still a meat eater. I can think of no better place to buy meat than from Nature's Harmony. Tim & Liz really do believe in letting animals behave they way nature intended them to. I visited the farm a few weeks back and saw chickens walking around the fields, ducks in the pond, little lambs frolicking about. Wonderful.

As a result of their great care, the meat is simply heavenly. I had to get use to cooking whole chickens again, but the taste is so worth it. Pork chops, ground beef, porkloins....mouth watering! Oh, and the EGGS! Pick up extra eggs from them!

I am so thankful our area has Nature's Harmony Farm in it : )

My father was a meat distributor back in the pre-industrial meat days. We've had beef brisket, rib eye steaks and a chicken from Nature's Harmony Farm. All had the rich flavor that is missing in today's mass produced factory meats.

We ( Rick,Cynthia,Nima) visited Natures Harmony on a rainy Sat. and the rain did not keep away our excitement of finding a farm which is practicing humane treatment of the cows, chickens and hogs. Tim & Liz gave us a tour while the rain was coming down. They are very dedicated to the belief "that you are what you eat". When you consume the animals they raise , you will not be eating stress hormones. We bought lots of pork ( which was processed that week),reserved chickens for pickup in May and reserved 2 turkeys for our end of year holidays. Tim and Liz truly understand what the future of farming has to be in order for humanity to survive the onslaught of big agri business. And by the way the pork sausage and chops were very tasty.

Buy Local and be patient when eating w/ the seasons.

We recently visited Nature's Harmony Farm and were very impressed with the operation Tim and Liz have begun. If animals can look happy, theirs certainly do! It just feels so right and natural to see the cows, pigs, and chickens basking in the sun and eating the clean green grass. We bought several cuts of pork and so far we've had the sausage and pork chops. Delicious! Tim and Liz are so friendly and welcoming. We are returning tomorrow for their scheduled farm tour and look forward to it. I highly recommend a visit to their farm, it is well worth the time.

I found Nature's Harmony Farm through an internet search for clean meat sources in Georgia. Tim was friendly and very helpful. He patiently answered my questions, explained why he and his wife are raising the particular breeds of animals they are, how they are fed, cared for and processed. He also went out of his way to get his product to me.I am very impressed by the flavor and quality of the meat I have tried. I purchased pork chops, ground pork, sausage, pork roast and ham steaks.

I ran across Tim and Liz's website for their farm, Nature's Harmony Farm, while searching the web and after a few minutes it became one of my favorites. The website itself is a good one, with a lot of pictures and videos of the farm itself which I loved. The content, particularly in the farm blog, not only gave you an idea of the philosophy of the farm and the personalities of the farmers and a lot of useful information, but also made you feel connected to the farm itself.I took my wife and kids out to visit the farm, although it is a long way from where we live, and had a great time. They run a great operation, very natural as opposed to industrial farm feel, and you could tell they really take great care of the animals. Tim and Liz both were super nice and really took the time to show us around and answer our questions. We bought a good bit of pastured pork from Nature's Harmony and everything we have tried so far, sausage, chops and roast have been really good. I would definitely recommend this farm to anyone who is looking to support a local farm that raises their animals in a humane and natural manner, and produces a wholesome product that you can feel good about feeding your family.Way to go Tim and Liz!Jeff
