We found Andy & Hazzard Free Farm 2 years ago when we signed up for their CSA. When we visited the farm, we fell in love with it! Andy's methods and practices are above and beyond what would be called 'organic' and really show that she cares about the soil, the environment, the plants and the animals. This all translates to amazing tasting produce that is even healthier for you! Andy is a wonderful person to work with and always patiently answered our questions about what was growing and what to do with it. Her produces was some of the best I have ever had (her sweet corn is out of this world!) and I feel good eating it right from the plant. If you are considering a CSA or a local farm stand, I highly recommend Hazzard Free Farms! It was worth the tip from Rockford to Pecatonica every week and now with local pick ups it's even more convenient!!

This is the first farm i've ever joined and it has been a blast. Andy and the dogs have been great. My son enjoys the dogs, cats and poultry on the farm. I like them too since they keep him busy while I pick. We've had a great crop this year and I froze all my carrots and beans i'll need all winter. I also canned tomatos. It's a bit of work to pick my own veggies but, it's well worth the price and the produce being pesticide free.

ok, i'm a city kid; i've never seen potatoes actually growing in the ground so...aside from the benefits of eating more and organic vegis, actually picking my own food from the earth is a kick. everything is neatly labeled, for which i am grateful. newsletter with receipies helps you eat everything you've harvested. all around a lovely experience - i highly recommend to anyone anyone near Pecatonica, IL
