It is a local community Farmer's Market servicing our community and brings in local and other Michigan farmers and gardeners, bakeries, etc. It helps to limit the gas we might spend on going to a Farmer's Market that is further away. Since it is right off of the Southfield Expressway, it can also service commuters going home to the suburbs from Dearborn and other points south.

Great local produce and a fun little market in a business area that is suffering from the down economy. Excellent baked goods, meats, fresh vegetables and coffee are offered each week.

BECAUSE IT'S A "NEIGHBORHOOD" ACTIVITY...NOT ONLY DO I GET FRESH VEGETABLES, BUT I'VE SEEN OLD FRIENDS AND I GET TO TRY NEW ITEMS...LIKE SWEET POTATOE COOKIES...MMMMMMMMM

The food is fresh, the service is great and the location is convenient. Most importantly, the items are produced in Michigan.

Convenient, good variety of produce and other products to select from, friendly and of course it local to the neighborhood.

my wife and i attended and found it was very nice to have a farmers market in our neighborhood to support the hard working people that brings this oppotunity to the community.

It's so nice to have fresh organic produce, meat and poultry available right in my neighborhood. The fresh baked breads, pies, and cookies just put the icing on the cake.

I bought the most delicious Michigan asparagus, Michigan strawberries and of course Avalon bread last week at the market. It was all eaten before the sun set. We can't wait for the Michigan blueberries!

I truly appreciate the fine fresh food this farmers' market makes available to me right down the street from where I live. The vendors are friendly and sell quality products.

I enjoy the opportunity to get items I either can't find locally or would have to drive some distance to get--wonderful Amish baked goods, Avalon bread, home-grown tomatoes, hormone-free homemade sausage, corn picked the same day--plus the chance to chat with the vendors and my neighbors.

The Northwest Detroit Farmers' Market is such a gift to our neighborhood. We are very lucky to be able to to go a few blocks and get fresh produce, eggs, meat, bread, and enjoy a great social atmosphere. I hope that the Market is able to survive many more years in Northwest Detroit.

It's a community run farmers market with great products! This was started with the help of hard working neighbors and the community working together. What could be better?

It is convenienly located to my house and I like the foods fresh from the garden and the homemade breads among other things.

I love the everything about it, the coming together at an outside market of fresh veggies, bread, flowers, honey, organic meat, local eggs and crafts, etc. It's all in the city close to my home. It's a wonderful gathering of neighbors and friends. It builds community, encourages healthy eating, while supporting local agriculture and small businesses. What could be more important!

It is much needed in our community---a place to purchase fresh fruit and veggies at reasonable prices. The best part----- we do not have to travel great distances and we have an opportunity to meet and greet our neighbors while shopping.

So many advantages for shopping there: Close to home, wonderful fresh produce, outstanding fresh baked goods, meeting neighbors as you shop, actually meeting all the people who grow/develop/transport these wonderful foods, including marvelous meats and fish! Come and join us!!

The produce is fresh, fresh, fresh. But not only that! It is so good to observe highly dedicated individuals working together cooperatively and volunteering their time to bring our community closer together in these difficult times. Finally, buying as much food as possible locally is the right thing to do. Our only home, our beautiful planet is under assault by an energy hungry, industrialized agriculture which relies on the intense use of fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides, the clearing of tropical rain forests, and the global transport of food (thus making us even more dependent on mid-east oil and the wars necessary to ensure that we have enough of it), to name a few of its undesirable traits.

It is a great thing to support our local farmers as they provide fresh fruits, vegetables and meats to us. The people are friendly and the prices are great!

It is close to my home. It has a large selection of vendors that sell product that I use. The vendors are friendly and the prices are reasonable.

Perfect location - right smack in urban Detroit! There is nothing else in the city that I know of but Eastern Market. Also, a great place for the neighborhood to connect.

I can get fantastic locally-grown organic produce, meats and cheeses for great prices, right here in my neighborhood. What could be better than that?
