For a long time I have relied on Soda City as my first stop to live a local sustainable life. I'm there early every Saturday, however, recently I've noticed an increasing number of pinhookers setting up booths at the market selling out-of-state conventional produce. If I wanted that (and wanted it more cheaply) I'd be going to the grocery store. I don't like the direction this takes us in, and is exactly the reason I quite attending the state "farmers" market. If this is going to be something of value to the community it needs to stay local.

When they say "all-local" they mean it. The market has a very loyal following who really support the market.

Because Emile and his market are one of the only TRUE local markets in town. He's done an awesome job marketing this to our community on a shoe string budget! Unlike other markets, he sticks to his guns about having only local products!!!!

I feel it's important to eat locally and support those who really care for the earth by growing food consciously with more than just the bottom line in mind. Besides, it's a great way to meet other people in your community. Oh and they have live music there!!

It's a wonderful market - you can get meat, produce, baked goods, sauces, flowers, soaps and of course seasonal fruits and veggies. It's year-round and serves a great all-local breakfast plate. Put your state on your plate!

The produce is fresh! So fresh you can't get it any fresher, except for your own garden!
