I don't know if this Farmer's Market will be open this year, but I have a request if they are - would weekend hours be possible so us working people could get there?
I've searched the area for a Farmer's Market and the only one I can find on the weekend is in Gallipolis - too far.

Portsmouth isn't a big town, so the farmers market follows suit with just a couple of booths. But despite it's size, it's got charm and variety. I haven't bought vegetables at the grocery (outside of bananas and avacados) since I started going to the market. It's possible that more sellers will pop up as the season progresses. The sellers are all really nice, and have given me great advice to use in my own garden. I'll be getting up every Tuesday until November to take part - supporting my local farmers, having good conversation, and eating really tasty, really earth friendly food!

The Farmers Market on the Market... Market Street that is. I love this farmers market. It's so important and so much better for our environment to buy from our local farmers. This farmer's market is fairly small in size, but it's in the perfect place. The items offered are of great quality at fair prices.I hope it continues to do well and grow. Let's all come together to support our local farmers and our local economy!

Unfortunately the group of growers at this market have other markets on Saturday that they are committed to attend or they have their own Farm Market that is open, such as Fuhrmann Orchards. Some growers are considering CSA programs in this area. Ask your friends if they might be interested in participating in a CSA program. Thanks for supporting our local growers. We really appreciate it.
