We are so blessed to have such a great orchard nearby. This is the only place I buy apples and peaches, and I always grab other fresh produce that is in season. If I don't grow it myself, it has to be from Fuhrmann's.
Prices are fair, fruit and produce fresh and delicious. Service is friendly.

I have been coming out to Furhmann's Orchards for the last two years, and every time we come out we're never disappointed on the quality and variety of produce available.
Everyone we have interacted with on our visits has been very nice and helpful at explaining the various apple varieties to us. Plus they gave us a really awesome set of recipes to use with the apples, that we really enjoyed!
Will keep coming back!

I took my children out to the 'farm/orchard' hoping we would have a little homespun family outing, buy some apples and other produce, view the orchard, etc.
Boy, were we shocked! We pulled up to a block/warehouse-style building that had a store cooler housing a box of corn, a box of peppers, a box of dried up green beans, and a few other misc. things (and I emphasize the word 'few'). There were 4-5 large bins with unlabeled apples in them. Very sparse and unappealing display.
The lady who was there was less than helpful, and seemed agitated to the point that we felt we were bothering her. I even thought that we might be at the wrong place, or maybe there was an alternative location, but I was so totally put off by the whole deal that I didn't even ask (the place was labled Fuhrmann Orchard and 'had' produce so I assume it was the right place). We won't go again.

We are very sorry that your first experience at the orchard was not what you expected. During the time of your visit we were transitioning from peach season to apple season and our staff was limited during that day. Our apple selection is best from September 20th to Mid November when we typically have ten or more varieties on display in different sized bagged selections, as well as, cider and pumpkins. Our vegetable selection varies at the orchard, especially on Saturday's and Tuesday's in September, when most of the vegetables are sold at The Portsmouth Farmer's Market and The Boyd County Farmer's Market. We do grow a wide selection of vegetables and accept orders by phone. I would hope that you would reconsider visiting the orchard or the farmer's markets again.
