Ron and Tresa are sharing their garden at McCall Farmers Market again this year of 2014. As of April 27 we have planted a variety of potatoes, onions, radishes, corn, butternut squash, pumpkins and lots more. We are located in Pollock Id on Hi-Way 95. 100% Organic with no sprays. Our water comes from Denny Creek with ends up in the Little Salmon River. Again this year we will have bins of produce directly from our garden. 12 Road Island Red chickens to provide the best eggs for you. See you all soon, Regards Ron & Tresa Fiscus Farms

McCall is a high elevation mountain town, which has a climate not conducive to growing many fruits/veggies. However, it is surrounded by low elevation, mild climate areas great for growing crops. We are fortunate to have many local growers willing to provide fresh, organic produce to enjoy. Also, local eggs, chicken and beef complete the offerings!

Buying local and organic is key to my families well being. The McCall Farmers' Market has an abundance of both. As well, there is wonderful music, fresh mountain huckleberries, morel mushrooms, and children selling drinks. Add in the palpable feel of community, it feeds bodies and souls. Good Stuff!!

It is FANTASTIC! Almost all the vendors grow organic product or product that is not sprayed. It is friendly, fun, and delicious. My 2 year old can't get enough of the fresh fruit and veggies...a moms dream!

Buying local is good for our community economy and the state economy plus all the offerings are of excellent quality and can be used in any number of summer cuisine.

It is of a size that you can get around to all and the variety is great, from vegetables, fruit, flowers, Venison (one of the only places to get farm raised), plants etc.

Summers are short in this mountain town. Our wonderful farmer's market brings us the bounty of summer fruits and vegetables from nearby farms, located at slightly lower elevations. Friendly faces, delicious baked goods and a strolling guitarist make for a very healthy, wholesome and social marketplace.

McCall Farmer's Market thrives in the toughest of conditions! They offer us fresh produce even in the worst of weather, and make us glad to live in an area known for its short growing season and harsh climate.

In spite of our difficult high mountain growing season, there are so many devoted to making local food available to us through the McCall farmer's market. Not only that, market days are a lovely way for our community to connect and see one another in a fun, wonderful environment.

I use our local farmers market to get honest, clean and local food. We are trying to get the chemicals out of our body, eat healthy food and support the community. We are blessed to have this market in our small town each week.

I love to meet the farmers who grow, with love and care, the food I buy and feed to my family. I love to tell them thank you in person and give them a big smile. I am so thankful that there are still people in this crazy world who value quality food. When I was growing up, the attitude was that farmers were "lowly" people; nothing could be further from the truth! I so love and appreciate people who care about food, grown in a quality way, organic when possible, without unnecessary pesticides, and always GMO free. To grow good food, support such farmers, eat food as nature intended it, and feed your family this way is one of our highest callings in my opinion! The Farmers' Market is a great way to spread appreciation of Mother Nature around.

Our growing season in the mountains is quite short and can be very challenging so without the local farmers market many of us would not have the opportunity to enjoy delicious farm fresh produce. The effort made by the farmers who make the trip to the mountains is deeply appreciated.

We live in small, extremely beautiful mountian town. The winters are long and the growing season short. The Market brings the first sign of summer into our lives after months of snow. The products are healthy, beautiful to look at and even smell delicious. People from neighboring towns often visit just to make sure it's Farmer's Market Day. All are friends, even those you have never met before. It is a cherished event in our community.

For 18 years regional farmers have been providing exceptional local produce, flowers and friendship to this small town in the mountains of Idaho...at 5000' no less. We are blessed, indeed.

Not only because I live in McCall, but because it's an impressive farmers' market for a town of less than 3,000 full-time residents. I spent five months in New Orleans last year and McCall's farmers' market is so much better. I am amazed and thankful that we have so many passionate local farmers and ranchers here in the McCall area.

I sell produce from my organic garden in McCall. I have for years. It is a pleasant place to sell and the local people support the market. We have a musician who comes every week, he walks up and down the market with his guitar singing. It is wonderful to see him and an elderly person singing a long ago song. All are grateful for the clean fresh food and I wouldn't sell my produce anywhere else.

Because the produce is organic and delicious, and nothing beats fresh local fruits and vegies. In today's world where everything is mass produced and nothing seems genuine, my local farmer's market is a haven!

For a small mountain town at 5000' elevation this market has such a wide variety of produce, flowers etc. There is a true community feel. The view of the lake, the music and the friendliness of the vendors makes it especially unique

The farmers market has a good selection, but is open only during inconvenient times and is a little pricey even for a farmers market.
