Overall we felt that the CSA was overstreched this year. We rarely ever got a full bushel box, even though we paid for a full share and were advised that would mean a full box most weeks. The box was generally half or 3/4 full, rarely ever full. Several complaints regarding this from our group were not adequately addressed.
Additionally, our family was disappointed at the lack of variety in spring and summer boxes. There was very, very little variety, particularly when compared to the possible variety listed on the CSA's listing.
The fall selection was, however, quite wonderful and worth the money. That said, we will not be participating in the CSA again and will instead attend the Farmer's Market this year.

I'm a shareholder with the Frosted Hawk, and I've never been disappointed. The shares are the ideal size, and the variety is pleasingly varied for new meal ideas.
We're big salad fans, and the lettuces are always healthy, harvested at just the right time, and delicious.
It's also great to go to the grocery store and almost bypass the produce section altogether!

Hope you grow more of those heirloom tomatoes. Green Zebra and White wonder were very different from the usual red tomato selection.

Frosted Hawk Farms produce is so different from what you purchase in the store. You can definitely taste the difference! Steve is knowledgeable and experienced and can answer any question you have.
Yummy!!! The eggs, peppers, tomatoes, potatoes, squash, hardy greens and so on... lots of heirlooms, honey, preserves and unique / fun extras like moon & stars watermelon, true lemon cucumber and file powder.

I bought country eggs, honey, and assorted produce from Steve at the farmers market. The eggs were very good. You just can't get yokes that orange in color from store bought eggs. The honey was of good quality. Wish I'd bought more of it.
You can't go wrong with his organic produce. Or naturally grown produce as I'm sure he'd tell you.

Enjoyed the tomatoes and watermelons. He had a good variety of vegetables. Some were better than others, but anything picked the day of delivery seems to have better flavor than the grocery. Look forward to another year.
