We joined the Fall CSA for 2008 after I found out about White Rose Farm by chance. My husband, 2 year old daughter, and I drove up to the farm every Saturday morning to get our vegetables. It was a nice escape into the country. Sally was so accomodating and welcoming! She let our 2 year old explore, and showed her the cows, pigs, chickens, ducks, dog, and cats. We became friends with Sally and her brood of animals, and even bought a half a hog from her (it was nice to be able to pet the pig we were going to eat!) which was DELICIOUS. , My husband also helped her kill and pluck some chickens (which were also the best tasting chickens I've had!) at the end of the season. The vegetable selection each week was very good, especially the greens and the salads. The melons were yummy, and I am looking forward to the spring and summer!

White Rose Farm is a wonderful place to connect...to the land and each other. The food is flavorful and satisfying. The free range pork is tasty! The white sweet poatoes and butternut squash are some of my favorites. It is a beautiful, peaceful location that is easy to find, although off the beaten path. And all those associated with the farm are some of the nicest and most real folks I've ever met. I enjoy photographing the farm and just enjoying the fresh country air. I love to volunteer to help get the farm work done. I am a healthier and better person for sure after time at the farm. If you care about good food, caring for this earth, or connecting to others, White Rose Farm is a "must-get-to" for you!
