Recently I have been very interested in the use of native plants and wild edibles. So I did some investigating online, which brought me to Frances at Herb Planet and she invited me out to see the farm. However, the visit turned out to be quite the experience, all of the flavors and smells far exceeded my expectations.
I work as a chef and my job is immersed in aromas and tastes, but the experience at Herb Planet was so new to me and at the same time so calming. The pleasant astrigency of oxalis flowers could find there way on any salad plate nestled next to some leafy chickweed.
Herb Planet is really quite special and I am eternally grateful for Frances taking the time to help point me in the right direction.
