The Charleston Farmers Market brings the best of fresh produce, baked goods, local crafts and fresh flowers directly to us. I'm able to stroll around the quaint and historic square, visiting with friends, neighbors and visitors to our lovely city, all while enjoying the best of nature's bounty and the dedication and hard work of people that comprise the backbone of our country. Thanks to these people, we all enjoy healthy, tasteful and unadulterated goodness each and every Wednesday and Saturday morning throughout the summer months. The vine-ripened warmth and goodness of just picked vegetables and fruits is the stuff that dreams are made of. Just visit Charleston, and you'll know what I mean.

The farmers market in Charleston is an excellent alternative to shopping in the grocery store. I live on the square, which is where the market is held twice weekly, so it's very convenient to walk down the stairs of my apartment building and already be at the market. I love talking to the vendors who sell there and finding out more about their products. I can tell that they put a lot of pride and hard work into what they carry.

I support Charleston Farmers Market because there is less waste and pollution, and the health benefit and quality of the food are much better when produced locally than the "shipped-in" produce.

This is a great little market around the "square" with about 15-25 vendors weekly. Most of the vendors produce 100% of what they sell. There are a few vendors that offer all organic naturally grow products and several vendors with specialty items and heirlooms. There are also bakers and the owner of a local greenhouse with beautiful baskets and flowers. If you want organic produce come early, many of the organic vendors sell fast.
