We have been members for 8 years and continue to be impressed by Providence Farm. Their certified organic produce is top-notch, always freshly washed, and if you don't know what to do with it, Andrea always has recipes and suggestions in her online newsletter. Be sure to visit the farm if you're interested in becoming a CSA members--It's a real treat, with pigs, cows, sheep (and shepherding dog) and an ever expanding array of vegetables. Lots of extras are available from Providence Farm, including berries, organic chicken, turkey and pork. We got a pork share this year and can't believe how much better it tastes than "grocery store" meat. Organic costs a little more, but it's worth it! Ryan and Andrea host regular potlucks, special dinners at a local restaurant, even classes in herbs, wreathmaking and much, much more. They're the best and put their heart and soul into this fantastic farm.

My husband and I had contemplated buying into the CSA for about 4 years now but just never took the plunge for whatever unknown reason. We are big into organics and natural living so this is definitely a good way to go for us! I think the biggest downfall was being able to get my produce as I work week days and can't make it to the farmers market!

This year Ryan and Andrea offered to deliver to Charlevoix Area Hospital for us employees as long as we had enough participation so I knew we had to sign up! We signed up for a medium share for the whole 22 weeks and we have LOVED it!! Right now it is just my husband and I eating most of the foods although my 2.5 year old daughter enjoys her fruits and veggies also! I felt like this amount was slightly more than we could handle weekly, but yet pushed us to do even MORE with fruits and mainly veggies! We definitely didn't want good, organic produce to go to waste so we were definitely coming up with different ways to use our foods! It was

a wonderful variety and we LOVED getting our box every week - always excited to see what this week would hold! We had trouble getting our payment to go through and Andrea was so kind and patient with us while waiting for it in the beginning. They are just great people and a CSA is so well worth it! Our box of veggies averaged $25 per week and I can say we definitely would have spent over $25 on organic veggies at Meijer had we not bought in!! We plan to buy in again this coming year for 2014 and I hope to do even more with it! I'm excited to seek out new recipes for all of our veggies and I'm already anticipating getting our first box! :) Thanks a bunch! I think you've got us for life! :)

Purchasing a CSA share has been the best decision for my family! We have enjoyed the fabulously fresh produce, trying many items that we would not have self selected, which has been fun. Really appreciate the weekly newsletter with listing of box contents and recipe suggestions, learning about the produce has been a big part of the experience too. Looking forward to the rest of the season's bounty!

Beautiful produce each week. Staff/family are very helpful and friendly. You can tell that they enjoy the work that they do. I'm very pleased with the items in my share as well as the weekly updates.

I have been a member for over 8 years and cannot imagine missing a year. The vegetable shares are always full of a wonderful variety of produce. During the summer I look forward to each week as the different vegetables are in season. Included in each weekly basket is a newsletter, which is helpful to me, new recipes, how to store the produce and interesting facts. Providence Farm is dedicated to providing a wonderful harvest each year.

We were a CSA member of Providence Farm about 2 years ago. Excellent variety, 1/2 share easily fed two people. Exceptional quality veggies, herbs, fruits & meats. Really liked being able to buy flats of strawberries & blueberries and meats along with the CSA. Even though we now live 5 hours away, I'm still buying strawberries, blueberries and meats from Providence Farm this summer (we still take trips north frequently). Loved everything about them - just can't give it up!
