Every aspect of Common thread CSA is laudable; tasty and healthy produce, a commitment to sustainability, fair and honest treatment of members, and a desire to connect with the surrounding communities. In addition, it is a beautiful, fun-filled place that makes getting your food a weekly delight. Being a volunteer there just makes it even more terrific; I would urge anyone to sign up!

We love our farm share at Common Thread CSA! We started with the farm over 3 years ago, and thoroughly enjoy getting fresh produce in the spring, summer, fall and winter. Their standard size share is enough to feed our family of 4 for the week. They offer a wide variety of vegetables, herbs and even a few fruits. The pick your own crops are a great addition- peas, beans, flowers, herbs, etc. The staff are always friendly, it's overall a great place to be! If you are thinking of joining a CSA, this is a great one!
Fantastic farm with excellent produce and great management

We have been members of Common Thread for going on three years (full season share and a winter share) and have nothing but positive things to say about the CSA (and the farmers who run it, Wendy and Asher). In terms of logistics, the CSA share always has a wide variety and large quantity of vegetables (and some fruit). In addition to the normal fruits and vegetables that Common Thread picks and provides at the pick-up locations, they also have "pick your own", which is awesome. Whenever the season ends we are so sad, not only because we don't get our fruits and veggies anymore, but because we don't get to see Wendy and Asher or any of the other regulars out at the farm anymore.
I <3 Common Thread!

I've been a member with Common Thread for 3+ years now and I never miss a chance to sing my praise to anyone who will listen. The staff offer top quality service, organic produce, and are eager to meet the individual needs of share members. With summer, fall, and winter shares you can feed yourself and your family for the entire year if you store your produce properly. I love coming to the farm, choosing my produce in the barn, and then picking my own items - herbs, flowers both decorative and edible, and various in season items like strawberries and cherry tomatoes.
Shares come in mini, standard, and large sizes and all have a great variety of produce. My partner and I are both vegan and a standard size gives plenty! Common Thread CSA also provides to surrounding communities in Utica, Rome, Syracuse, Clinton, and Norwich. From what I?ve seen of the boxes for delivery, they still make sure to offer the same abundance and variety as the members who pick up on the farm.
Absolutely the best!

A delicious variety of produce grown on a beautiful farm. My family and I looked forward to visiting the farm every Saturday morning to talk with the farmers and other members, pick our own herbs, flowers, and other crops, and otherwise just enjoy the farm of which we were a part. We only stopped being members because we moved out of state. If you are in this area, you cannot find a better CSA!
We love the farm!!!!

Anyone who may want to join a CSA they want to join this one. The Farmers are very nice and the veggies are great. I love to go every week and pick up my veggies. I can't say anything bad about the farm, veggies and most of all the farmers. J&T
